Michelle Sagert

Michelle Sagert obtained her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from the University of the Fraser Valley and was placed on the Dean’s List for academic achievement. After completion of her undergraduate degree she started her career working in the criminal justice system advocating for incarcerated men and women with a national non-profit. During this time, she developed a deep sense of wanting to help those who were vulnerable to the power dynamic of large institutions so, she pursued a law degree from Leicester University in England, graduating Summa Cum Laude at the top of her class, where she was awarded the 36 Bedford Row and Queen’s Jubilee Awards for Academic Achievement.

Since her call to the bar, Michelle has practiced almost exclusively in plaintiff’s personal injury, but she has also represented clients on family matters, real estate & commercial transactions, collections, general litigation, and employment matters. Michelle has represented victims of slip and falls with complex liability issues, and plaintiffs who have been in numerous motor vehicle accidents where there is indivisibility of injuries across the accidents. Currently, she is focusing her practice on those clients who suffer thoracic outlet syndrome, traumatic brain injuries, psychiatric injuries and vestibular injuries.

Michelle has developed a reputation with her clients for being a fierce but practical advocate, who utilizes her courtroom skills and trial experience to ensure her clients receive the results they deserve at all levels of the courts including, the Provincial and Supreme Court of British Columbia.
